Reading the message behind the child’s behavior can help parents and caregivers respond in ways that diffuse tense situations, build positive social-emotional skills, and coregulate. In this session learn to use the HUGS framework to 1) hear children’s cues 2) understand the child’s underlying message 3) give a response and 4) build success.
