This qualitative study examines the use of baby equipment by Navajo families. Cradleboards and baby walkers meet the practical needs of Navajo parents and help to instill cultural values. Understanding the values underpinning parenting practices can guide culturally responsive interventions and education efforts in early intervention (EI) to promote child development.
