This poster will explore how to engage interactive shared book reading (SBR) experiences with young children who use augmentative and alternative communication. We will share strategies to adapt SBR interactions and books to facilitate active engagement. Professionals, families, and other caregivers can implement strategies to support the development of young AAC users.
