This poster looks at the parent-professional journey from the point of view of a parent of a young child with Autism who is a Gestalt Language Processor. Parents are asking for a placement that will incorporate appropriate language therapy, in spite of resistance from school professionals. Building a strong collaborative relationship is essential for this child's success.
