The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of goal setting and step counting on student teachers' use of active supervision behaviors. A modified reversal design (i.e., ABCBC) was used to determine if a functional relation exists between goal setting, step counting, and teacher-student interactions. Implications for research and practice will be discussed.
