About me
Dr. Hollie Hix-Small is an associate professor in the College of Education at Portland State University where she directs the Early Childhood Intervention Program. Prior to joining PSU she led Open Society Foundation's early childhood intervention work in Central and Eastern Europe where services are critical for family preservation. Her research interests include the timely identification of children with developmental and social emotional difficulties; transdisciplinary and family-centered assessment and service delivery; infant mental health; models of professional development and supervision; and approaches to developing policy and national systems. She has authored many publications and research studies.
