About me
Good Sipping the Sweet Tea September, Everyone :-)!
I hope you and yours are doing well. I come to you from the Squaxin Island and Nisqually Tribal lands of Washington State. I am a grandParent, with a capital 'P' for having raised my two special needs grandchildren for the last 9.5 years. I am also a wife, veteran, 30-plus-year community volunteer, and humorous storyteller!
This month is my first anniversary back in the workforce doing what I love: working as the Community Collaboration Coordinator in the Early Support for Infants and Toddlers (ESIT) Program. Before that, I did not think I would ever be able to return to the workforce because of my caregiver responsibilities. Surprisingly, my lived experience made me well qualified to do this AMAZING job, attend this year's conference, and give you a snapshot of my fantastic journey!!
