About me
Carina Piscitelli has worked for 13 years in the field of special education, supporting families and teachers in using high-leverage and evidence-based practices to enable success of all children in inclusive classroom, clinical, and community settings. This includes direct service in early intervention and public school settings, supporting research at the National Center for Quality Teaching and Learning through the University of Washington, and my current role supporting teachers in special education as an instructional specialist in Issaquah School District. She has also served on a variety of committees and networks and as a peer reviewer for the Journal of Early Intervention. Carina received her undergraduate from the University of Idaho in Human Development and Family Studies and her Master's in Special Education with an emphasis in ABA from the University of Washington. Carina's continued focus is on minimizing opportunity and equity gaps for students identified as at-risk and/or with disabilities, with a primary interest in family engagement in the educational experience for these students.
