This poster looks at the parent-professional journey from the point of view of a parent of a young child with Autism with significant delays. Parents felt strongly about using dual methodology in spite of resistance from some professionals. Building a strong collaborative relationship between parents and professionals has led to a positive future for this youngster.
Birth-5 professionals aim to tailor outreach efforts, but more dialogue is needed on families with an incarcerated parent. We highlight cross-disciplinary literature and insights from a survey of incarcerated mothers and fathers’ parenting self-efficacy and readiness to reunify with their child. We discuss implications for tailoring support during and post incarceration.
This poster combines the results of two systematic literature reviews and meta-analyses on two popular autism interventions: Naturalistic developmental behavioral interventions (e.g., PRT) and adult-directed behavioral interventions (e.g., EIBI). This poster will convey the impact of these interventions on various dimensions of family quality of life.

Parents are asking for a placement that will incorporate appropriate language therapy, in spite of resistance from school professionals. Building a strong collaborative relationship is essential for this child's success.
